Colour and Beauty Show
I picked a flower the other day And in to a vase it did go, Its colour and beauty to show.
Today, there’s been some falling away Its colour and beauty slowly fade Life is brief - all turn to decay.
That’s the trouble with life; (Selah) Some get colour, some get beauty But each for their life-time brief.
Now I need to remove this flower From its classy show piece vase, For it be past its use by date.\ The colour and beauty show did not last.
Another picking will replace it - The next bright summer’s day!!
