Before I was known, before I was born,
Creator Father loved me whole.

His love is so rich, his love is so full,
Without any wanting or expecting.
He loved me in spite of my humanity,
In spite of my separation.

He said yes, He’ll be—
He’ll be the true lover of my soul.
He’ll be the kind of lover who knows my need,
For He formed me in the secret of eternity.

His undeserving grace.
Grace, a yes from me.
Grace, a pardon be.
Brought peace so dear, hope birthed,
Acceptance free from jealousy,
Not based upon perception or human frailty,
But a true Father’s love for me.

Redeemer of a humanity which sinned,
Turned aside from purpose and destiny,
Lost in the pursuit of identity.
A humanity which lost its way—
And yes, that includes me.
The gospel message that came into the
pagan world was this:
by the death of Jesus of Nazareth,
there is forgiveness for sin—every sin,
redemption for every life, and the ending of
every separation from God. And by His
resurrection from death, there is restoration
of all brokenness, nullifying the curse,
and eternal life—for all who will receive it.
