Note: Elections are about us choosing a
temporary leader, whereas eklogé is about
confirming our election in the eternal kingdom.
It’s the year when citizens are all ears,
All ears to the promises of electioneering,
promises of helping life be better,
Be better in the realm of spending taxes
for the benefit of helping,
Helping citizens manage living obstacles.
Election promises are interesting,
Interesting because parties promise
to control spending so the country reduces,
Reduces its borrowings, which we know
are necessary to continue,
To continue the standard of living we enjoy.
But what one promises is not always,
Not always convincing because the words
fail to convey the feasibility of the promise.
Promise of physical, fiscal, legal,
timeline tax intake to sell policy intention
so that voters,
Voters like you and me, the rich and poor, vote.
But there is one election for all mankind,
Mankind universal; not defined by creed or belief;
simply as a being born from dust.
Dust means weakness, human wisdom.
But Lady Wisdom says be sure
of your eternal election,
An election beyond the polling booths of Earth.
Therefore, reader, make every effort to
confirm your calling and election.
Scripture Reference:
“Therefore, brothers, make every effort to confirm
your calling and election, because if you do these
things you will never stumble.
For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly
provided for you.”
— 2 Peter 1:10–11 (CSB)
*Eklogè (Greek): A divine selection; calling out.
It shares the same prefix as ekklèsia (the church)
meaning the called out ones.
